Review of Midnight Special (2016) by Andrew W — 20 Apr 2016
A Sci Fi chase movie that owes not a little to Spielberg especially ET and Close Encounters. The young actor playing Roy is good in the role showing a maturity beyond his years whilst Joel Edgerton, last seen in Black Mass, spends the whole movie looking perplexed.
Ultimately it lacks any emotional connection and the ending is rather trite. One for a rainy day.
