Review of Midnight Special (2016) by Matt G — 30 Apr 2016
A coming-of-age story told from the POV of the parents, Nichols brings such authenticity to his science fiction script. Like Spielberg as told by Malick, this slowly unraveled yet engrossing interplay of light and dark will please anyone looking for a beautifully obtuse mystery.
Pulsing, haunting, and perfectly scored, it's a fascinating drama about the immutability of truth.
