Review of Midnight Special (2016) by Smodcast — 04 May 2016
What shine's with this movie is Jeff Nichols directing. His writing, not so much. The story is sparse, gleans intentionally on elements that could be so much more. The characters work, simply because they do except kirsten dunst.
Her role could have been completely ignored and nothing would be lost here. The finale comes short. This is worth a watch though.
