Review of Midnight Express (1978) by Mike Z — 10 Jan 2009
One of my favorite prison movie, this film makes you ponder what it would be to be in a turkish prison. the beginning scene at the airport is great when he goes through the terminal at the and he's sweating like a pig thinking he's gonna get caught which he eventually does.
very brutal, very realistic performances and the set.every time I watch this film I keep feeling so sorry for him (brad davis) and how he litterally goes crazy in the five years that he's there.its about a man who pushes himself as far as he can withstand it there and the beatings and rape that he endured which he bared as deep as it could go.
great acting and great directing from alan parker. I trully believed this film because it made it believable, this film will go as one of my tops.
