Review of Metropolitan (1990) by Codie E — 31 Aug 2008
While I loved the film's displacement of time and unique feel, it was hindered by some stilted and too adhered to script. While the actors did there best and usually over came it, every line was too constructed and every interaction was too thought out and orchestrated.
Nonetheless, it deserves its place in the American Indie canon and without it Noah Baumbach wouldn't have a career.
