Review of Metropolis (1927) by Fanaro009 — 11 Jul 2014
It is incredible to imagine someone doing such a movie with little technology and right at the beginning of cinema history. I would have been deeply amazed if I were to watch it when it premiered. This movie makes me even more incredulous to watch most of the crap which has been released in the past decade, shameful.
The only aspect that makes me don't want to give it a 10 is the usage of some silly archetypes, such as the malefic villain or the ultra-naive main character. This is the same case when it comes to literature, characters in real life are much more likely to be dialectic than dichotomic.
