Review of Meshes of the Afternoon (1943) by Dfh D — 20 Dec 2007
A milestone of a short, and, in my opinion, worlds above and beyond Un Chien Andelou.
The surrealism is smooth and intriguing, the "Narrative" never at a slog, and nightmarish in a very subtle way.
A beautiful Gagaku inspired score is perfect with the strange style of the film.
