Review of Memphis Belle (1990) by Bill — 10 May 2008
It's slick and engaging and reverentially doffs its cap to most of its "flying film" predecessors and is well worth the time spent watching it. Putnam's influence is clear to see but the acting is fresh and young (most of these rookies built careers later) and the story is engaging.
Seriously, if only there were more films hitting this kind of standard...
