Review of Melinda and Melinda (2004) by Lynn C — 27 Nov 2010
"Melinda and Melinda" really should have been two or even three separate films; however, I liked it enough as it was. I enjoyed the ensemble cast, and the supporting players were all very good, especially Will Ferrell, Chloe Sevigny and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
But Radha Mitchell kind of stole the show as the title character. She contributed greatly to the movie and brought out all the right emotions expressed in Woody Allen's script. Of course the New York photography is gorgeous to look at and I admired it a lot.
I also really liked the fact that most, if not all of the characters were very smart. Allen's dialogue seemed to truly reflect this attribute.
