Meek's cutoff is probably the closest thing you will ever get to see in terms of a documentary on the oregon trail and what it was like to travel it....however, the movie fails to entertain, the characters are plain vanilla and there is no suspense and the ending is undeniably openended.
.......take the main stem and skip this shortcut.....
