Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Vittorio C — 28 May 2009
This is Scorsese's first essential woek, and it is perhaps my favorite American mob film because it has a spiritual core that is missing in Good Fellas and The Godfather (which I admit are classics).
Keitel plays a gangster who wants to be a saint and De Niro as a thug who owes everyone money are brilliant.
