Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Andy S — 28 Jun 2017
Scorsese's early opus about sad, pathetic men who are guilt-ridden and lost and can only express their emotions through violence. This is kind of what I hate about the world at large, so why would I like it here? What works in Raging Bull seems overwrought here.
I wasn't rooting for anyone.
