Fascinating to watch, inasmuch as it's a means of observing the birth of an amazing director. Not a patch on Raging Bull, Goodfellas, or Taxi Driver, but the seeds were sown with this, which includes a powerhouse performance from De Niro.
.. I lament the loss of the days when De Niro was anything but a parody of himself.
