Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Edward C — 25 Apr 2011
Wonderfully entertaining theater-life comedy (dramedy, really, but more comedy). Christian McKay's impersonation of Welles is, well, I'm no Welles aficionado, but it seems spot-on to me. And why shouldn't it be? He honed it years ago in an off-Broadway show where he played the big man.
I also liked Claire Danes quite a bit as the Mercury Theatre office manager with big ambitions. The weak link was Zac Efron, about whom the kindest thing to say is that he wasn't completely terrible.
