This movie does not have superheroes, fairy godmothers, or sentient operating systems. It doesn't have plot twists or a surprise ending. What does it have? A good story, well told, and a good cast.
Among other things it looks at how the love of family, the support of a community, and the impact a coach can have on the lives of young people. It also looks at social issues like migrant labor, the human cost of cheap food, gang violence, and despair.
Go see it, take your kids, and anyone else you can find.
