Review of McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) by Joshua T — 25 Feb 2008

Will require another viewing on a bigger, better screen; after which, could go up or down a 1/2 star (not that anyone should care what I rate this or any other movie).

I didnt love the cinematography (maybe a bigger screen will help me to appreciate this) or the soundtrack (though I am a huge fan of Leonard Cohen songs when other people cover them), but the life in the film came from the characters, both as scripted (to the degree they were scripted) and as projected by the actors, and then as they interact with each other.
