A truly interesting western in that it goes against what the typical western is. Beatty and Christie play great characters and really show how McCabe shows himself to be smart (when he really isn't that much) and Mrs.
Miller shows herself to be strong (when she really isn't either) and thus the two need each other. A character study with a good showdown.
