Ok movie. Though it's undeniably a heartwarming film that evokes nostalgia for the classic family animal adventures and sends a great honor message to those in the armed forces, but there's also no denying it tries a little too hard to pull at the heart strings, features a number of unlikeable characters on the protagonists' side and at times feels way too edgy for a family film, especially the scenes with the dogs fighting each other.
