Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Justin B — 02 Jul 2018
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a pleasant surprise. Picking up three years after the last movie because the last movie was three years ago, the plot centers around how Owen and Claire are trying to rescue the dinosaurs but discover that they're being tricked into a bigger scheme.
Thus, they try to stop this bigger scheme from happening. The plot moves at a good pace and the action is good. Visually, this movie is striking and the direction is superb. The score also works very well with the gothic visuals and these moments are the best moments in the film.
As for the characters, they don't get much development but they're still okay. Also, Jeff Goldblum proves that he is the only intelligent human left in these Jurassic movies. Overall the film is a solid thriller with great visuals and some touching moments.
But what is more promising is the sequel this one sets up. And that sequel can't come soon enough as it sounds amazing.
