Review of Mask (1985) by Giffy G — 18 Aug 2008
I was surprised how much this movie affected me. Moments of it shied away from its subtle characterization to out and out schlock, and these moments deeply bothered me, but I was still crying at the end.
Cher was amazing--she even saved the poorly written script at some points. Basically, this movie swept me up, but I intellectually know it wasn't as good as it could have been.
