Review of On the Outs (2005) by Krys M — 23 Apr 2009
I think the felt a bit too real at times. The look and feel of the film along with acting make it seem like a window in the urban cityscape. It's like your watching a documentary rather than a narrative film.
It was nice touch not adding a score to give it that more grounded in reality feel. The only thing that was disappointing were the characters some of them go through a journey but yet still remained trapped in there old methods.
Which I guess I can understand since there seemed to be a message about how life is a vicious circle in the urban way. But honestly after spending this amount of time with these character I felt let down by there fail to change and it made me feel like I just wasted my time watching this film.
