Review of Masculin Féminin (1966) by Tom K — 12 Jul 2010
I watched this cause Brigitte Bardot was in it and lucked out in that it was filled with even more pretty, French speaking women who have low enough standards to be ok with Jean-Pierre Leaud. It's not a movie for casual viewers.
If you don't know much about 1960's France, the Student Revolutions, movies, French New Wave, and Marxism, you'll be pretty lost and think it's a story about a guy who's lusting away as a bunch of cute girls, which it is but there's subtext too.
