Review of Mary and Max (2009) by Salley P — 27 Jun 2012
The basic plot of this story is great. It was refreshing, fresh, and honest. It tells of a story between pen pals: an old man and an eight year old child, growing up together. No matter how adorable and sweet this sounded, I was just so bored throughout the entire movie.
The claymation and the filming was absolutely beautiful and I loved staring at all the small details, but it simply was not entertaining at all. I felt pitiful towards both characters, and I just wanted to give them something to help them stop being pathetic! Terrible, I know, but I would ultimately not recommend this film.
