Though I haven't been reviewing, I've still been watching. So here's the quick and dirty.

Four Brothers = quality. I do have a love for John Singleton ("2 Fast 2 Furious") and Marky Mark ("I Heart Huckabees"). This story is not going to change the world but it is at times heartwarming, hilarious and terribly sad. Also has excellent car chase in snow. Also, Singleton has always been able to elicit a good performance from a rapper. No small feat.

Must Love Dogs = It's an average romantic comedy with an average plot. But John Cusack ("Runaway Jury") is generally entertaining even when the movie's bad, and Diane Lane's ("Under the Tuscan Sun") family make this fairly enjoyable.

The Fog = A solid John Carpenter ("Ghosts of Mars ") film. While watching it, I thought "Now this is how it ought to be done." Why can't we get a new generation of horror masters? The only problem is that the film is a bit dated. I'm almost excited about the remake just to see what kind of effects can now be done with the fog.

The Skeleton Key = I don't know what. Kate Hudson ("Raising Helen") is not as annoying as usual and Peter Sarsgaard ("Kinsey") is very, very creepy (and one of my new favorite actors), but it just didn't move me.

Martin = Terrible, awful, no good and very bad. I did not like it. Say what you will about George A. Romero ("Land of the Dead") being a genius. This movie did not show it. I just wanted it to be over.
