Review of Martin (1978) by Kenny H — 20 Aug 2007
George A. Romero brilliantly transposes every vampire cliche onto the angst of teen puberty. Apparently the original cut was 2 hours and 45 minutes. Though I'd love to see it, I can't imagine it expanding on themes that are already perfectly expressed.
Interestingly, the film's lead (John Amplas) edited the American cut of Romero's Dawn of the Dead.
