Review of Martin (1978) by Paul E — 21 Sep 2008
Weird, slightly disorientating horror, perfect for a midnight movie. Amplas is excellent as the awkward, alienated Martin. Love the dreamy, eerie, black and white flashbacks (echoes of 50's horror movies?) and the ending is downright bleak and brilliant.
One of Romero's best movies outside the dead films.
