Excellent performances are undercut by an almost religious adherence to the feeling of a stage production. This live theater feel in both the script and production leave us with an experience that simply falls flat.
Eschewing all the benefits of cinematic production may appeal to hardcore critics and theater goers, but left this movie lover wishing that everything had felt a little less theatrical.
