Review of Margot at the Wedding (2007) by Graeme Y — 19 Jul 2008
This is definitely no "Squid and the Whale," but you know what - it's got dialogue written by Noah Baumbach, which translates to - you will have a good time watching it if your sense of humor leans towards the dark and the absurd.
Kidman is remarkably good as the thoroughly unpleasant Margot, whom we perversely end up sympathizing with. Even Jack Black can't take the colorful sting out of Baumbach's screenplay.
