Review of Marathon Man (1976) by David L — 01 Dec 2007
One of the best examples of the thriller genre ever made in my opinion. Worth seeing just to marvel at the performance of Sir Laurence Olivier as the Nazi criminal Zell. Keep in mind that Olivier was very sick at the time and could barely walk.
(Note his struggling to move in the Diamond District scenes) Yet, even so, he managed to create one of cinemas most menacing, villainous and enduring bad guys. "Is it safe?".
