Review of Marathon Man (1976) by Marcus W — 16 Apr 2010
While watching this I couldn't understand why it was so average when it said "written by William Goldman". Turns out the guy who wrote (snoozefest) Chinatown came in and did some rewrites, scribbled all over Goldman's work, took out all the excitement and made it rather dull instead.
It's still not a bad film, the cast are as good as you'd expect, but don't be suckered into believing that this is a Goldman film.
