Review of Mao’s Last Dancer (2009) by Kayla S — 10 Sep 2010
This a very emotional movie it puts in prospective why social, religious and politacal expectations can be so silly at times when it comes down to what one can do or what one can be. strong prefomance by Chi Cao and Chegwu guo as Li Cunxin as an adult and teenager respectably but one the preformance that cought my aye was the one by Bruce Greenwood as Ben Stevenson (the ballet director) I thought he really pull it off sharply.
all together wasn't without it's fults but a very nice movie, very strong story, emotional and touching. I recomend it if you have the time don't miss out.
