Review of Mao’s Last Dancer (2009) by Joao F — 16 Dec 2011
Ok movie about the extraordinary life of a Chinese dancer raised in a totalitarian regime and trying to adapt in the West after defecting. The acting is a little bit wooden and I wish the movie was more successful at conveying the hardships this man went through, especially the sacrifices his family had to endure.
