Review of Mannequin (1987) by Lauri Ailane — 21 Jun 2008
I still love this film, Maybe I am a dreamer, but I love stuff that is far from real. The idea of finding one's true love has always been a big thing for me, even if the story is far-fetched. This film may not be entirely drop dead hilarious true, but does that mean it is not enjoyable or funny.
Not all comedies have to have slapstick in it to mkae it a funny film. Anywho, I think the film is great and I still can't get over what a dork James Spader was in this film. Far from the hotty in Pretty in Pink.
My recommendations are if you want something that is just entertaining and fun, this will be a good film to see. Bonus you have a great soundtrack to accompany it. Give it a try and you just might actually enjoy it.
