Review of Mannequin (1987) by Jard M — 02 Sep 2012

I feel like I shouldn't have liked this movie but to give this anything less than 3 stars would be a lie and an attempt to look cool. However, I actually didn't mind this movie. Granted, it wasn't excellent, it was still alright.

I feel like the main protagonist should be annoying but I don't know, he just seems happy in the face of adversity and doesn't give up, plus he doesn't care how silly he looks. I did find the ending a little too fairytale considering that the message throughout the rest of the film was that he didn't need the mannequin to succeed but I don't know.

Either way Mannequin isn't a great romantic comedy but it's passable.
