Review of Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993) by Alison P — 01 Jul 2008

This is one of my favorite Woody Allen films, and probably my absolute favorite older Allen film.

I'm thrilled with Huston's performance. This legacy actor just gets better and more beautiful with age. It's easy to see why hipster director Wes Anderson loves to work with her so much.

I always forget to watch for Zach Braff. I think it's one of those "blink and you'll miss him" performances.

The chemistry between the four main characters is memorizing. And, as the title suggests, this comedy really does center around a real, substantial mystery that isn't so easy to predict or piece together.
