Review of Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993) by Leon B — 28 Jul 2014

I honestly have no idea why people like this movie. Is it because of the horrendous pacing? The lack of comedy or sentimentality? The sometimes creepy but mostly irritating performance from Alan Alda? My guess is that the only reason MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY has a whopping 93% on RT is because critics were desperate to give Woody Allen positive reception after his controversial separation from Mia Farrow.

That's the only reason. I'm not saying this because I hate Allen's films; I'm saying this because I love them! I'm a huge fan of his, but I have to say, MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY is, simply put, a complete dud.
