This has got to be Nicholas Cages best performance in years. This Grindhouse type movie utilizes color just like Argento's Susperia with a score that sounds like Blade Runner and Night of the Comet.
With splashes of animation and endless blood in the second half creates a surreal and mind bending film that can only be compared to the most intense trip of LSD. Nicolas Cage's over the top acting fits perfectly in this film.
A man seeking revenge for the loss of his wife has never been scarier or more intriguing than this film. Definitely best to watch in the dark late at night to get the full force of what is happening here.
