Review of Manderlay (2005) by Jonathan F — 21 Jan 2008
It's one thing for von Trier to criticise American foreign policy without having been to the country (I think everyone is entitled to an opinion on that because it effects us all).
But for him to have a dig at America's social and moral fibre without ever stepping foot in the country seems arrogant and ignorant. I thought this movie just made him come off as a bit of an idiot.
