In much the same way as I feel RT is totally fucked up now and will never be set to rights, the movie examines America's history of slavery whose repercussions will never die. Both are hard to understand. How could this be allowed into existence?

However it is, I will continue plugging away because of all the time I've already spent, and rip on another movie for the delight and entertainment of all the discerning individuals that rely on my sage wisdom to alert them on movies to avoid.

Many times you see people refer to a film as "more of a stage play" or "would work better as a play". What is meant is that there are few changes in setting and the piece is largely dialogue driven. In this case the fact of a one shot sound stage is not hidden, and it indeed seems like a filmed play to viewer.

The effect on me is dulling, as the plot is dully pretentious and spoken from on high with thick sentimentality that made the whole a chore to endure.

Name actors gamely deliver their lines, but with so little to work with, what was there to gain?

One point of any film is that it must engage and entertain its viewer in order to make them receptive for its intentions. In trying to deliver its message this film completely forgot to be entertaining, and that is death to me.

Now, to get back to the more compelling confusion of trying to understand how a company can change a website so ineffectively while seeming to be unable to figure out how to make its basic functions work properly in so doing, despite weeks having passed. I guess the job went to the owner's kid who just graduated junior high school, because the level of incompetence displayed is astounding. You don't pull an update like this without fully understanding how your platform works and will react. Seems pretty basic to me. Instead we have a mess that has no plan in evidence, and loyal users sticking it out and hoping that they can get back to business as usual, if only because of the years of work they have put into it. I really did feel that things would be set back properly, but it drags on and on and now I don't expect anything to be corrected.

That's shitty because if I have to go and start a movie blog on my own I'll have to change my approach and work more formally at it to get to fly, and that sounds like work! Yuk!

Buck the fuck up, RT. This is pathetic.

Don't watch Manderlay! It's lame.
