Tragic story, incredible acting. Manchester by the Sea is a movie you won't forget; a classic in the making. Michelle Williams lives in a world of hope, yet sorrows of the past. The Sorrows that divorce and death can leave you with.

Her portrayal of a women struck with grief that uses divorce as a way to cope with one of life's biggest losses, is captivatingly real. She suffers more when she sees the long-term effects of tragedy and divorce of her ex-husband, played by Casey Affleck; who never really recovers from a mistake he made, and the rejection he receives from his wife and his surrounding community, as a result of it.

As a rejected member of society, he lives the lonely existence in a one room basement unit of multi-unit apartment complex, where he is a janitor. Casey turns his character into a somer soul, numb from the brutal treatment he receives, resigned to become the nobody he is treated as.

Then, he gets the phone call that no one wants to receive. His nephew, played by a young budding actor, brings back the life that Casey's character had left behind. The film is heavily nominated and awarded for the multi-talented cast performances, beautiful screen play and directing.

This is destined to be a classic marked by stunning performances by Michelle Williams and Casey Affleck, who received an Oscar for Best Actor.
