Review of Man of Tai Chi (2013) by Liney H — 11 Dec 2013

I was greatly impressed by Man of Tai Chi and even more so that Reeves directed it. You can very much tell that he is an authentic fan of the genre and martial arts. Is Man of Tai Chi the best kung-fu movie ever? No, but I think that it's as good as a kung fu movie needs to be.

This movie accomplishes that goal quite briskly. It starts perfectly with my first kung fu movie rule. The sooner the action starts after the beginning credits the better the kung fu movie with vanishing returns after ten seconds.
