Review of Man Bites Dog (1992) by Benjamin E — 30 Aug 2008
A hallmark of the 90's independent scene, Man Bites Dog pushes the envelope in every way possible. A camera crew follows a serial killer on his rounds while he expounds on subjects like love, architecture and most importantly, film.
"I am cinema!" he declares one evening at the bar, giving the film a terrific existential lift that really puts it above the average. It will shock you, it will disturb you. Hopefully, it will make you laugh.
