Review of Man Bites Dog (1992) by Alexander C — 01 Dec 2012
There have been very few "documentary" type movies I've truly enjoyed; I just don't care for the format. This is a very darkly comedic, satiric look at the life of a serial killer who has no underlying reason for his anti-social behavior other than it's how he makes a living and he's good at it.
You get to see his normal family life. The film crew begins to think of him as just another friend instead of their subject and then starts participating in the mayhem. Too dark and cynical to enjoy overmuch, but as an experimental film on the state of our society, it is worth watching.
