Review of Man Bites Dog (1992) by Juanita A — 29 Jun 2012
A shockingly powerful, original film about a couple of first-time filmmakers documenting the life of Ben (a serial killer). These people live meaningless lives, and they continue to show that there is no meaning for them.
Though it seems almost everything seems worthless, t couldn't be more worth the watch. This is my favorite "fake documentary" type film. The character of Ben is great. He has a personality impossible to grasp.
He has no value for others' lives. There are things (birds), in which he finds true beauty in, but he seems enthralled by some things and disgusted by others. This film is as exciting as it's premise.
Highly recommended for fans of dark comedy.
