Review of Mamma Mia! (2008) by Kerry M — 06 Nov 2011

I find this film so hard to rate. It's good fun, and has an amazing cast, but I can't watch it without cringing the whole way through. I've never been much of an ABBA fan, so the music does nothing for me, but the cast look like they had such a fun time shooting this film, and that in itself draws you in.

I adore Julie Walters, so she is always a pleasure to watch, and Amanda Seyfried has a surprisingly good singing voice, but that doesn't make it any easier to watch. This one will probably have to be a one off for me, as I don't think I could put myself through it again!
