Review of Malignant (2021) by Kirkender — 19 Sep 2021

What if Basketcase were remade with a 40 million dollar budget and was also a haunted house / action movie / thriller / X-files / Giallo / copy & paste of a bunch of other genres? Are you exhausted already? Is this movie trying to be funny? I sure rolled my eyes the whole time.

The whole thing is really predictable, despite the ridiculous premise. You can see the scares coming from a mile away. The acting and script is appalling. It's way too long, cut it down to 75 minutes and it could be legit entertaining.

There's too many plot threads that don't contribute to the story and go nowhere. Big budget and horror rarely go together and this is no exception.
