This is essentially a film that makes up two halves of a whole: If you have seen any other romantic comedy ever made, you have seen Maid in Manhattan...and yet if you watch this film there really is no reason to see any more romantic comedies ever again, for you have now seen them all.

It seems that the entire contents of "rom-com 101" was just copy and pasted for a script, there are literally no cliches of the genre that aren't used. It's not unconditionally terrible, it's just a film that has no reason to exist.
