An excellent movie. The acting is brilliant (even Tom Cruise, whose movies I usually shun, was wonderful), the characters were well thought out and complex, the soundtrack was perfect and added a ton to the movie when so often soundtracks detract.
It was hard to watch in spots but that was more because it wasn't a pretty or comfortable movie, the characters were imperfect and struggling and trying to pretty it up would have just cheapened it.
