Review of Made of Honor (2008) by Jeanne K — 17 Aug 2012

Almost like the standard kind of romance movie. Patrick Dempsey enter a room to find his sex partner but it turns out to be the girl room mate Michelle Monaghan instead. She spray perfume at his face. Later she disses him and he is very impress and want to have her as friend.

10 years later, Patrick is still the womanizer and his best friend is Michelle. They hang out together and he talks to her about the woman he bedded and stuff. He bring her to his dad's Sydney Pollack 6th wedding to a young chick.

The couple is still negotiating about pre-nup. When Patrick saw the woman who is obsess with him, he ask Michelle pretend to be his girlfriend. Michelle told him she actually find him hot back then upon first meeting and he wanted to bed her.

She ask why not try over the past 10 years, he says he want to keep her in his life instead as friend. She had to go Scotland for a job for 6 weeks. Patrick find different girls to do the same thing he does with Michelle but its just not the same.

He try to call her but it was always not the right moment. He find himself actually love her. When she return, she bring along her Scottish fiance Kevin McKidd and shock Patrick. He save her when she was trap in a car with cattle crossing.

She want him to be maid of honor. Patrick friend tell him to accept it and can use the chance to get closer and say how he feels of her. The other maids include Michelle cousin whom Patrick bedded and broke her heart (Busy Philipps) Michelle want Patrick to entertain Kevin for a day and he bring him to play basketball which he sucks.

When he dunks it in and realise it is counted, he keep dunking and Patrick is totally lost. Michelle and Patrick go to find the reverend for ceremony discussion and he still remembers what she said years ago about a painting and she is surprise.

His friends can't find any dirt on Kevin and so gonna train him to be a great maid of honor instead to show her he has grown up. She told him she is gonna live in Scotland with him and he is a duke.

Patrick want to give up and Sydney told him he only love his best friend ever and that is his mother. The group goes to Scotland for the wedding and they play a traditional highland game of marriage. Patrick loses off course.

During dining, she want to try his chocolate cake but Kevin didn't like it, cut a small bit for her instead. Patrick bring Michelle to the lake and try to tell her he love her but the maids spoils the fun, going to the bar to drink.

They kiss passionately. Michelle want to go his room and ask about the kiss but Busy came to his room, drunk and wanted sex. Michelle saw her inside and left. Patrick try to explain and she decide to marry Kevin.

He left the next day. Then he want to return but the boat ferrying them has left. He ride a horse to the church and crash in time. He propse his true love and Michelle accept him. Kevin is sad and punch Patrick.

They marry on a rooftop and finally its time to make love, he switch on the light again and say to make sure its the right woman this time.
