Review of Machuca (2004) by Amit C — 20 Sep 2008
Initially this felt like a tale of friendship (think Son of Rambow) set against the backdrop of Chile's brewing civil war, but slowly the movie is engulfed with the repercussions of the militiary coupe and forces an impossible test of the friendship, which is well captured by the movie.
The performances by the young cast and the theme of the movie made it a very interesting watch.
